About The Position

The Warehouse & Materials Technician is responsible for managing materials, supporting field operations, and maintaining the company fleet. This role involves checking in and labeling materials, handling logistics for material drop-offs and pick-ups, conducting vehicle inspections, managing fleet maintenance schedules, and overseeing tool and equipment management. Accurate recordkeeping for vehicles and materials is essential. The position requires a valid driver's license, strong organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and basic mechanical aptitude. Experience in warehouse, construction, or fleet management is preferred.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and materials used in the electrical trade.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse, construction, or fleet management experience.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance scheduling and recordkeeping.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Check in and label materials, verifying correct job numbers and notifying Project Managers of deliveries and quantities.
  • Drop off and pick up materials to support field operations.
  • Return unused project materials to the warehouse and ensure proper documentation.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections, ensuring cleanliness and reporting damage or maintenance issues.
  • Manage fleet service schedules, including oil changes, recall notices, tires, and other routine maintenance.
  • Verify that all company vehicles have current tags and registration.
  • Ensure GPS units are functioning properly on all company vehicles.
  • Confirm that each vehicle contains up-to-date towing and insurance information.
  • Maintain adequate truck stock in each vehicle.
  • Ensure all tools are checked in and returned to the tool cage after use.
  • Obtain approval from Critical Peake leadership prior to purchasing any tools.
  • Ensure that all vehicle sign-outs are properly recorded in the vehicle logbook.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
