The Warehouse & Materials Manager plays a critical role in making that possible. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this leader is accountable for the full scope of material flow across the Georgia bakery — from inbound raw materials through finished goods shipment. The Warehouse & Materials Manager leads the site’s warehousing, inventory, logistics, and SAP material management processes with excellence, ensuring product availability, inventory accuracy, and system integrity that keep our operations running smoothly and our customers delighted. As a key member of the plant leadership team, this role is both strategic and hands-on — balancing people leadership, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making while living out our company values. The Warehouse & Materials Manager is more than an operational leader — this role is a steward of the Georgia bakery’s reliability, culture, and success. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, materials management, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment (food or CPG preferred).
  • Deep working knowledge of SAP WM/MM modules, master data management, and material transaction flows.
  • Demonstrated success managing inventory accuracy, material variances, and end-to-end material flow.
  • Strong analytical, systems, and financial acumen with advanced Excel proficiency; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership of large, multi-shift teams with a focus on people development and operational excellence.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
  • Proficient knowledge of Continuous Improvements, Total Productive Maintenance, particularly Autonomous Maintenance
  • Developing knowledge of SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud
  • Proficient with RedZone Productivity Suite or similar software
  • Proficient with Excel and/or Tableau for dashboard building
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Purpose Develop and execute the site’s warehousing and materials strategy to enable 24-hour production and exceptional customer service.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement aligned with the King’s Hawaiian values.
  • Build alignment with Planning, Production, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure synchronized material availability and efficient product flow.
  • Drive Material & Systems Excellence Serve as the plant’s subject matter expert for SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Material Management (MM) processes.
  • Oversee all SAP material transactions, including goods receipts, production backflush, inventory transfers, and shipments.
  • Maintain the integrity of SAP Master Data — materials, storage locations, units of measure, and BOM alignment — ensuring accuracy and compliance across the value stream.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to manage material variances, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement in system utilization, data accuracy, and inventory visibility to enable better decision-making.
  • Ensure Inventory Integrity Own the site’s inventory control program, achieving >99% accuracy through disciplined cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze inventory performance and trends to optimize working capital while maintaining material readiness.
  • Oversee FIFO/FEFO execution, aged inventory management, and full traceability in support of food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance on inventory valuation, adjustments, and reporting to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Optimize Warehouse & Logistics Operations Lead all warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, staging, and shipping of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Oversee local shuttle operations, carrier performance, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships to ensure dependable and cost-effective delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement through layout optimization, equipment utilization, and lean material flow design.
  • Anticipate and resolve transportation and logistics challenges while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Manage Performance & Costs Develop and manage the site’s warehouse and materials budget, including labor, equipment, and variable costs.
  • Establish, monitor, and report performance metrics (KPIs) for service, safety, cost, and accuracy.
  • Lead problem-solving and cost-improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce waste without compromising quality or safety.
  • Build an Ohana of High Performers Recruit, coach, and develop a talented and diverse team of warehouse and materials professionals.
  • Promote certification, skill development, and growth opportunities to empower each team member to reach their full potential.

  • Champion Safety, Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with all OSHA, AIB, GMP, and food safety standards.

  • Partner with Quality and Food Safety teams to uphold the highest standards of sanitation, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
