About The Position

Ryder is hiring a full-time Material Handler in Alburtis, Pennsylvania. The role supports warehouse fulfillment and distribution operations, using warehouse equipment in a safety-focused environment. The position pays $19.75 per hour, with weekly pay. Training is paid. The Material Handler handles order fulfillment, staging, documentation, product accountability, and operation of forklifts or other warehouse machinery. Additional duties may include training others and housekeeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to input data into a computer system.
• Work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect customers.
• Identify damaged products during the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and their stage locations.
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation while retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Follow location and work-center safety and security policies and procedures.
• Train others in warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, when required.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
