About The Position

Ryder is hiring a full-time Material Handler in Alburtis, Pennsylvania. The role supports warehouse fulfillment and distribution operations using warehouse equipment in a safety-focused environment. The position pays $19.75 per hour, with weekly pay, and includes paid on-the-job training. Workers may handle order picking, staging, receiving, storage, shipping documentation, equipment operation, housekeeping, and related warehouse duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, policies, and related purposes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into a computer system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the customer.
• Identify damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
• Pull assigned orders accurately.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and their staging location.
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation while retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Follow location and work-center safety and security policies and procedures.
• Train others in various warehouse functions when required, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment.
• Perform housekeeping and other assigned duties.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
