About The Position

Intermountain Electronics (IE) is a leading manufacturer and provider of custom-engineered Process, Electrical Control, and Power Distribution turnkey solutions serving the Data Center, Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, and Mining industries throughout North America. Our products range from large-scale, one-of-a-kind custom Power Distribution, Control, and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic and electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, we are currently looking for a Warehouse Material Handler to join our team at our Price, UT facility. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of IE’s organizational structure, operations, and established shipping and receiving practices and procedures.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the production and manufacturing of electrical distribution equipment used within the mining industry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to read English, accurately count materials, perform basic mathematical calculations, and write legibly in English.
  • Must have the ability to safely operate Company forklifts.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate reliability, dependability, responsibility, and the ability to consistently meet job obligations.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, EPICOR, and other specialized purchasing applications.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as customers and vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must possess basic computational and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to establish work priorities and perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain a results-oriented approach with a focus on delivering value to the organization.
  • Must be able to work a 48-hour work week.
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour work week, as well as additional hours when required.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, staging, tracking, and delivering received materials from the warehouse to the production floor accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating with the Procurement Manager to support both planned and unplanned material workflow.
  • Tracking, monitoring, and delivering materials throughout the IE facility to Point of Use locations, inventory, and/or job carts.
  • Delivering all items received daily from the 4-wheeler trailer to the shop floor, ensuring the trailer is empty by the end of the day.
  • Delivering materials requested by production floor line leads or Project Managers directly to the appropriate individual and obtaining required sign-off.
  • Maintaining the Material Request Queue and ensuring materials are delivered promptly to will-call or the shop floor.
  • Ensuring received goods are properly identified and staged for manufacturing, rebuild, or routing to other departments within the company.
  • Reviewing production schedules to determine when kitted job carts need to be prepared and distributed to the shop floor.
  • Ensuring job carts are accurate and contain all required parts. BOMs for jobs must be signed off when job carts are distributed.
  • Returning completed job carts to the warehouse after jobs leave the test department. Documenting and returning leftover materials to inventory and communicating with buyers regarding supplier returns.
  • Ensuring inventory and materials are stored in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Coordinating the salvage of damaged or previously used materials.
  • Operating forklifts to move or hoist shipments from the warehouse to storage areas or other designated locations.
  • Communicating with appropriate department heads to coordinate shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities with production, sales, and other company functions.
  • Coordinating weekly scheduled review meetings focused on planning and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining clear communication with Project Managers regarding the kitting of materials for job carts.
  • Overseeing the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of warehouse areas.
  • Assisting with cycle counts and ongoing inventory maintenance.
  • Safely operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and hoists when moving, unloading, or loading materials.
  • Operating miscellaneous hand tools as required.
  • Properly caring for and maintaining tools to ensure they remain in good operating condition.
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.
  • Maintaining regular and consistent job attendance.

  • Being willing to work overtime when necessary.
