About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the material handling of product from incoming receiving to work order picking. This role ensures the proper and timely flow of paperwork and advises relevant departments of material shortages or delivery delays. The position also involves general warehouse duties such as maintaining and organizing goods, keeping areas clean and orderly, and ensuring product and storage areas are clearly labeled. Compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental regulations is essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Related warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors equipment
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills
  • Detail oriented, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
  • Forklift experience

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma, supplemented with related warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors equipment would be an asset.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material handling of product from incoming receiving to work order picking.
  • Pull all material required for work orders and place into proper locations per schedule priority and/or instruction.
  • Unload, sort, inspect and put away incoming material as per receiving instructions.
  • Ensure processes, lifting devices and forklift operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
  • Check to ensure material picked for work orders is correct before being released.
  • Record required information by pick list or RF gun, which may include lot numbers, serial numbers, heat numbers, quantities, etc.
  • Ensure proper and timely flow of paperwork for pick lists, purchase orders, packing slips, etc.
  • Advise Purchasing and Manufacturing of material shortages or delivery delays.
  • Perform uncrating duties for overseas shipments.
  • Maintaining and organizing goods, keeping areas clean and orderly.
  • Maintaining outside casting and forging areas, keeping areas clean and orderly.
  • Keeping both product and storage areas clearly labelled.
  • Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
