This role involves manufacturing, assembling, and packaging Steel Ceilings products to fulfill customer orders. Additional duties include material handling, crating, and assisting with machine operations. Requirements

Prior manufacturing, assembly, material movement, or machine operator experience preferred.
Knowledge of metal manufacturing materials, fabrication processes and machinery preferred.
Ability to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles.

Responsibilities

Manufacture, assemble and package Steel Ceilings products to produce needed items in the pursuit of customers’ orders as directed by the team lead and/or supervisor.
Perform material handling, crating and machine helper duties.
Maintain a clean safe working area including sweeping, opening scrap, emptying dumpsters, trash cans, etc.
Observe all safety precautions and plant regulations to prevent injury to self and others or damage to material or equipment.
Upon training & qualification, perform miscellaneous duties as required including machine operation (turrets, brakes, presses, panel benders, tube benders, etc), final panel assembly, infill pad creation, crating, forklift operation, inventory counting, and assisting others.
Follow all Company and OSHA Safety Policies.
Assemble materials and package finished products for transport to customers.
Ensure that the standards for quality, output, safety etc. are adhered to and improved upon.
Keep accurate records of production, waste, quality checks undertaken.
Properly maintain equipment.
Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services that do not sacrifice the safety of others, oneself, nor the environment.

Sweep floors and empty trash containers daily and maintain a clean working environment.
