About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler manually loads trucks with products for delivery to customers. The role involves lifting, lowering, carrying products in a fast-paced environment, stacking empty pallets, and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. The employee is expected to follow safe work practices and contribute to Staples Supply Chain's customer deliveries. The position is scheduled for the 3rd shift, 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Ability to become MHEO certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment as required.
• Ability and willingness to keep the work area clean.
• Ability to work inclusively with colleagues and customers, build relationships, and collaborate to resolve issues.
• Ability to quickly adopt safety procedures and ensure safe work practices.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• At least 3 months of related warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift; overtime will be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment or merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
