Warehouse Material Handler Part Time 2nd Shift
About The Position
As a Warehouse Delivery Material Handler, you will manually load trucks with products for delivery to customers. The role involves lifting, lowering, and carrying products in a fast-paced environment, stacking empty pallets, and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. You will follow safe work practices and contribute to the safety culture. The position is part of Staples Supply Chain, supporting delivery of products and services to customers. The scheduled shift is 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The work takes place in a warehouse with seasonal temperature variations. The posted pay is $20.00 per hour, including a $1.00 per-hour shift differential.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of related warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment or merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
- Must wear safety composite shoes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be MHEO certified and safely operate necessary material handling equipment as required.
- Ability and willingness to keep the work area clean.
- Ability to adopt safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift and required overtime based on business need if hired as a full-time associate.
