About The Position

The Warehouse/Material Handler is responsible for receiving shipped product, completing necessary paperwork, and accurately sorting and storing merchandise. This role involves moving and transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks, and operating a forklift. The position also requires maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OHSA and company regulations.

Requirements

Pick and place products to a pallet that is sitting on the ground or stocking shelves, racks and other storage equipment.
Ability to interact in a professional manner with co-workers, supervisors and our vendors.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to input and retrieve information.
Good time management skills and the ability to work under time constraints.
Team-oriented with a positive, energetic attitude.

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse, material handling and Inventory Experience preferred.
Licensed forklift driver including stand-up and sit-down powered forklifts, must be able to obtain within 90 days of hire date, as required.

Responsibilities

Receive shipped product and completes appropriate paperwork.
Count and sort merchandise by area, product number and description.
Store merchandise on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, color or type of product.
Move and transport materials or supplies.
Help load and unload trucks.
Drive forklift as necessary.
Fill out and submit appropriate documents regarding stocking and receiving of product.
Clean the warehouse facility using appropriate tools and pick up trash to maintain cleanliness.
Comply with OHSA and company safety rules and regulations.
