About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the warehouse encompassing the shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions associated with the company’s product lines. Maintains inventory control, purchasing and accounting of product for processing and shipments. Budgets for and allocates resources as required by business conditions and inventory levels; interfaces with department heads to determine inventory, records control and purchasing triggers to maintain proper levels to service end-users.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years’ experience in warehouse and/or delivery operations.
  • At least one-year prior experience working in an infusion pharmacy or home medical equipment operation.
  • Previous supervisory/management work experience directing staff.
  • Maintains a current driver’s license in good standing required.
  • Must be a valid licensed driver with an automobile that is consistently insured in accordance with state and agency requirements and is in good working order.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Self-directed with excellent time management skills and able to work within a schedule.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to get to the job site.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Must have working knowledge and understanding of Company’s software to enter, report, and manage inventory control.
  • Manages the daily/weekly/monthly shipping production for the department.
  • Maintains the warehouse and receiving/shipping area in a clean, professional, and safe manner.
  • Ensures that all lighting fixtures and safety devices are in working order.
  • Keeps the warehouse clean and organized efficiently.
  • Prepares, tracks, and maintains safe storage of sharps and bio-medical waste.
  • Ensures patient equipment is cleaned and stored in an orderly fashion.
  • Cleans and checks pumps in the warehouse and documents on performance testing forms.
  • Understand internal policies and procedures specific to assigned team along with its scope of services and work.
  • Understand customer needs and the programs and services rendered to fulfill organizational goals.
  • Ability to discern product line and cyclical nature of inventory, managing stock rotation to ensure no expired products are delivered to customers.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of products and supplies on hand to meet anticipated delivery needs and manages adherence to inventory management and control policies to ensure the security of product.
  • Maintains the manufacturer recall log and notices, responding when necessary and initiating the appropriate notification and recall processes as needed.
  • Assures proper warehouse equipment maintenance and repair according to company polices, regulatory requirements and manufacturer recommended schedules.
  • Sets up charts for the tracking and management of the company’s equipment, i.e., pumps and IV poles.
  • Updating equipment in the equipment charts and computer system when the items are sent back and received in.
  • Manages department expenses to meet budgetary controls.
  • Assesses inventory levels and coordinates ordering of inventory to support business needs and company standards. Prevents any overload of unnecessary inventory and equipment.
  • Competent with using online courier shipping system for shipping and tracking product.
  • Works with the Director of Operations to attain weekly/monthly goals as a member of the Team; promotes a positive and cooperative attitude with Team to facilitate a high degree of morale in the department; translates that positive attitude into a productive and loyal workforce.
  • Promotes the concept of patient satisfaction by encouraging proficiency and pride in the Team.
  • Assists, coordinates, and manages completion of monthly and quarterly cycle counts with the pharmacy department data.
  • Supports the team culture with the organization by adhering to policies, practices, and the Company’s Mission Statement.
  • Assists with packing, shipping, delivering, and tracking deliveries as needed to meet production goals.
  • Manages reporting staff through the selection/hiring, training, coaching, providing timely performance appraisals and addressing behavior or performance deficiencies as they occur.
  • Provides other support functions to the team as required.
  • Communicates effectively with management, teammates and other departments to source and collect data; supports the team culture within the organization by adhering to policies, practices, and the Company’s mission statement.
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality processes within and outside of the department.
  • Manages by example by reporting to work on time and ready to work; promotes the company Dress Code by maintaining a professional appearance and appropriate attire.
  • Adapts to stressful situations and demonstrates multi-tasking capabilities when dealing with frequent changes in an ever-evolving work environment; inspires staff to remain focused during high productivity periods.
  • Treat all staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Other duties as dictated by business conditions or management directive.
