About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse in support of field construction and service activities. This includes inventory control, material staging, tool and equipment management, deliveries, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in construction or electrical supply chain management and a strong understanding of job site logistics and material flow.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in warehouse management and purchasing
  • Strong knowledge of electrical materials and job site logistics
  • Experience with inventory and purchasing systems (e.g., Sage, Kojo, or similar)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • Familiarity with project-based purchasing or job cost accounting
  • Experience working directly with vendors, distributors, and field teams in a subcontractor environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both in person and in writing
  • Skilled at listening to and addressing the needs of end users
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as operating instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in inventory management systems such as Sage, Kojo or similar

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of job site material requests
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels; perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory
  • Manage tool and equipment inventory, including check-in/check-out process, maintenance schedules, and calibration
  • Develop and implement warehouse procedures and best practices to drive efficiency and accountability
  • Supervise warehouse team; provide direction, training, and performance feedback
  • Coordinate deliveries to and from job sites, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and scheduling
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing of materials, tools, and consumables to support projects and warehouse stock
  • Source materials from preferred vendors and negotiate pricing and delivery terms when needed
  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and reconcile with packing slips and invoices
  • Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and the procurement team to anticipate material needs and prevent delays
  • Monitor vendor performance and communicate issues with deliveries, substitutions, or backorders
  • Work with accounting and project teams to ensure accuracy in purchase records and job costing
  • Track key metrics related to inventory accuracy, material turnaround, warehouse efficiency, and purchasing performance
  • Communicate material lead times, backorders, and substitutions to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support project schedules, minimize waste, and control costs
  • Additional duties as assigned.
