About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is a data-driven operations leader responsible for end-to-end warehouse performance across safety, compliance, inventory integrity, throughput, and people leadership. This role requires a leader who can operate at altitude and at ground level—translating insights from data into disciplined execution on the warehouse floor. The Warehouse Manager will be expected to lead transformation, build capability across the team, hold firm on standards, and simultaneously foster a positive, accountable, and continuously improving culture, particularly in periods of operational or organizational change.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma
  • 5+ years of progressive warehouse or distribution operations experience
  • Proven people leadership experience in an operational environment
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management, warehouse KPIs, and operational controls
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions and improvements
  • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments (food, manufacturing, distribution preferred)
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates professional writing skills and the ability to correspond articulately.
  • Analyzes data and situations to solve routine and complex problems.
  • Applies sound judgment and decision-making skills to resolve issues.
  • Maintains professionalism and composure under pressure.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk, with occasional lifting and bending.
  • Capable of hearing and speaking effectively for communication purposes.

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience leading teams through operational or organizational change
  • Comfort working both strategically and tactically—from dashboards to dock doors
  • Experience coaching frontline teams with varying levels of experience and technical understanding
  • Strong analytical mindset with working knowledge of ERP/WMS data and reporting tools
  • Track record of building disciplined operations without sacrificing culture

Responsibilities

  • Translate operational data (inventory, throughput, labor, errors, capacity) into clear insights and action plans
  • Use KPIs, trends, and exception reporting to anticipate issues, not just react to them
  • Partner cross-functionally to align warehouse execution with broader supply chain, inventory planning, and business objectives
  • Balance short-term execution with longer-term operational improvement and scalability
  • Own daily warehouse operations across receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and container flow
  • Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures across all shifts and tasks
  • Actively manage inbound and outbound flow to support weekly case volume and container activity
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and capacity constraints and lead corrective actions
  • Serve as the standard bearer for food safety, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained, certified, and refreshed on procedures
  • Maintain disciplined documentation, training records, and compliance processes
  • Lead through a mindset of “do it right, every time”, not shortcuts
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small but critical team of warehouse employees
  • Adapt coaching style to different levels of understanding, experience, and learning styles—particularly in a warehouse environment
  • Hold employees accountable clearly and fairly, while maintaining respect and trust
  • Lead through change with steadiness, transparency, and consistency
  • Reinforce a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Drive adoption of new processes, tools, or expectations without erosion of morale or standards
  • Address resistance constructively while holding the line on non-negotiables
  • Model calm, decisive leadership in periods of change, ambiguity, or operational stress
