About The Position

We are immediately seeking a Warehouse Manager who is proactive, innovative, and analytical with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently and as a team to strive towards operational success. Lead a team by setting productivity goals, placing inventory orders, setting up systems and communications within the warehouse, directing shipments, and resolving logistical challenges.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience in retail, wholesale trade, or similar environment.
  • Some supervisor/management experience.
  • Forklift experience and/or certification.
  • Proficient with all technology and inventory control systems.
  • In-depth understanding of the industry and best practices for warehouse operation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with consistent, accurate, and quality work output.
  • Team player, who respectfully and courteously interacts with other team members to encourage positive results.
  • Ability to walk or stand for a long period.
  • Must be able to regularly lift to 75Ibs.
  • Able to wear work boots and meet the standard of the company’s workplace safety (if applicable).
  • Be able to pass a background check and drug test for pre-employment screening.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the flooring industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop all warehouse staff to create a positive and engaged team environment.
  • Motivate the warehouse staff to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations as reviewed during routine huddles.
  • Establish and reinforce operational, delivery, and warehouse safety, maintenance, compliance, and cleanliness standards.
  • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Verify orders for accuracy and quality at every stage of receiving and shipping process.
  • Operate all equipment necessary for material handling such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other relevant equipment.
  • Follow shipping and receiving standard operating procedures (SOP) for both paperwork and electronic systems processes.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications to warehouses, buildings, and grounds.
  • Organize warehouse space and inventory to meet safety, efficiency, and inventory control standards for storage and transport.
  • Monitor drop points and remote warehouse locations and coordinate with other branches to ensure high customer service.
  • Fosters strong communication between employees, management, and other departments.
  • Able to operate fully as a backup in all warehouse positions.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.
