About The Position

The warehouse manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, safety, and timely fulfillment of inventory, stock orders, transfers, and special requests. This role provides leadership across warehouse shifts, ensures adherence to established schedules and procedures, maintains inventory integrity, and supports cross-functional coordination with supply chain and store operations. The warehouse manager plays a critical role in driving accountability, operational consistency, and continuous improvement within the warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three to five years of warehouse or distribution experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
  • Experience managing multiple shifts and enforcing schedules and attendance expectations
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and warehouse best practices
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office and warehouse management systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing of stock orders, transfers, and special requests
  • Review, edit, and release warehouse stock orders once they are ready for processing
  • Monitor email and unpicked work order systems for stock orders, add-ons, and store pickup requests and prioritize workload accordingly
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Provide coverage for foreman duties during staffing shortages and assist with add-ons, store pickups, or order processing as needed
  • Process warehouse stock orders once pulled and palletized and assist with order fulfillment when required
  • Manage all warehouse transfers, including warehouse stock orders, add-ons, store pickups, and special orders
  • Prepare, review, and verify shipping documentation, including skid counts and required paperwork
  • Create and distribute daily drop-and-fill sheets for second shift operations
  • Distribute transfer paperwork and backorder reports to store locations in a timely manner
  • Process store return goods authorizations (rgas), including creation, communication, and finalization upon receipt
  • Process ltl paperwork for outbound shipments and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Conduct weekly warehouse meetings for all shifts to reinforce communication, safety, and operational expectations
  • Perform skid consolidation activities to maximize warehouse space and improve workflow efficiency
  • Schedule and track preventative maintenance for warehouse equipment
  • Conduct employee evaluations and support performance management and coaching
  • Provide inbound packing slips to the supply chain manager
  • Review receiving bin reports to ensure special-order items are properly allocated to transfers
  • Research, correct, and resolve unallocated special orders, bin discrepancies, or transfer issues
  • Ensure warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organization standards are consistently maintained
