About The Position

The Night Shift Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily workflow of the night shift warehouse crews and ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably. This role involves supervising employees engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products, scheduling and organizing staff, conducting interviews, selecting, and training new employees, and performing performance evaluations. The manager will also handle employee discipline and termination, complete management reports, and execute maintenance activities as needed. Additionally, the role requires organizing pallets and support materials safely, communicating warehouse concerns and safety issues to the general manager, and adhering to all company policies and safety regulations. The position supports corporate programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in warehouse
  • Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), MS Office
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with cooler/freezer storage

Nice To Haves

  • Fishbowl experience would be a plus
  • Forklift operation license is preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Food industry related experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products
  • Schedules and organizes warehouse employees to ensure proper staffing of all shifts
  • Interview, select, and train warehouse employees
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
  • Completes all required management reports
  • Executes maintenance activities when needed
  • Organize pallets and other support materials in a safe manner
  • Communicate warehouse concerns and safety issues to the general manager
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
  • Other duties as assigned by management
