About The Position

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company and a leading supplier of quality supplies for various industries, is seeking a Warehouse Manager for its Meridian Waterworks Branch. This role involves strategic leadership for warehouse operations, focusing on growth, improvement, safety, and associate engagement. The position requires direct engagement with associates on the production floor in a 140,000 sq. ft. warehouse environment with WMS and RF technology. The manager will oversee a team of associates and drivers, ensuring high levels of quality in customer shipments and inventory integrity.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in distribution management supervising 5+ employees in a distribution/warehouse environment.
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing a team, including mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Ability to work with people and build a positive and engaging environment for associates.
  • Phenomenal interactive communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience working in a WMS environment with RF technology is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing a team of delivery drivers is a plus.
  • Material Handling Equipment Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for warehouses, acting as a change agent for development and adoption of new processes.
  • Build, communicate, and implement a vision for growth and improvement within the warehouse operations.
  • Promote and drive safety daily, creating a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Increase and maintain high levels of associate engagement throughout the operation.
  • Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts.
  • Drive high levels of quality in customer shipments and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training, and providing professional development for all associates.
  • Lead and oversee associates performing activities including unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order picking, packaging, shipping of outbound orders, and cycle counting.
  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness are maintained in the site.
  • Confirm that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately.
  • Maintain security of the warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment.
  • Report any accidents and convey any issues to management.
