About The Position

A growing logistics company is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead and improve warehouse and fulfillment operations across multiple customer accounts. This position is ideal for a warehouse leader who has experience managing 3PL or fulfillment operations, developing customer-specific SOPs, improving inventory accuracy, and driving operational excellence on the warehouse floor.

Requirements

5+ years of warehouse management experience
3PL, fulfillment, or multi-customer warehouse experience strongly preferred
Proven experience improving warehouse processes, quality, and operational performance
Experience developing and managing SOPs
Strong knowledge of WMS systems and inventory control
Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
Hands-on management style with the ability to lead from the warehouse floor
Experience managing KPIs related to inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and service levels

Responsibilities

Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping
Lead a warehouse team of approximately 12 employees
Develop, implement, and enforce customer-specific SOPs
Improve inventory accuracy, picking quality, shipping accuracy, and on-time performance
Monitor and improve warehouse KPIs and productivity metrics
Train, coach, and develop warehouse staff
Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions
Work directly on the warehouse floor to support process improvements and operational consistency
Partner with customers and internal teams to meet service requirements
Visit the Elgin warehouse location 2–3 times per week as needed
