About The Position

As a member of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance on power equipment and building fixtures to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics in a warehouse environment. Operating under the supervision of the Maintenance Area Manager, you'll adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines while conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairing facility equipment and fixtures. You must be comfortable working in extreme climates, as the facility may not be climate controlled. You can expect the work to be physically demanding and fast-paced with an extremely high focus on your safety and the safety of others. Your attention to detail and focus on safety will be critical in this role.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (for example, forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment)
  • 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (for example, forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment)
  • Experience in blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • 1 year's experience in repairing/maintaining mechanical OR electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting OR 2 years' related vocational training

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, repairs, and conducts preventative maintenance on material handling and building equipment in safe and efficient manner.
  • Utilizes established PM and repair policies and procedures to return equipment to fully operational status.
  • Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
  • Work as a team member with operations and other technicians to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/labor history, inventory usage).
  • Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Daily perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures.
  • Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
