About The Position

Carlson Distributing is a multi-brand beverage distributor in the Salt Lake City area. The Warehouse Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the warehouse building and equipment, working with the Director of Operations to achieve business objectives. This role involves facilitating timely and cost-effective repairs and preventative maintenance for equipment such as dock levelers, rolling doors, forklifts, pallet jacks, and high-speed wrapping machines, ensuring safe and secure operation. The position also requires accurate tracking and verification of preventative maintenance for equipment and is based at the company's warehouse facility.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant experience
  • 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience
  • 2-5 years equipment maintenance experience
  • Ability to accomplish tasks individually and through the leadership and direction of others.
  • Ability to effectively present information, both written and verbal, one on one or in a group setting and respond to questions from managers and peers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural documents.
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM or as the work schedule may require.
  • Able to pass a drug screen with a satisfactory result.
  • Must wear required safety gear.
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, dock levelers, rolling doors, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Performs department activities to achieve operational standards and communicate all issues to management.
  • Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.
  • Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards.
  • Schedules and communicates outsourced work only when approved by the Director of Operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies to complete work objectives and communicates needs to supervisor/management.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
  • Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are complete.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Monitor and uphold the company’s safety standards.
  • Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures including but not limited to; Proper time clock submittal, Rotation and product quality, Meet or exceed productivity standards as set by management., Complete assigned tracking forms and documents as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management
