About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician in Morris, Illinois. The role supports the maintenance and safe operation of manual and automated supply chain warehouse equipment, as well as building systems and grounds. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and pays $27.00 per hour, with weekly pay.

The technician performs routine lubrication, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance; assists with and monitors outside contractors; maintains parts inventory controls; and helps ensure safety standards are followed. Depending on the location, the employee may need to operate equipment and obtain equipment certification. The posting describes a team-first workplace and provides paid training, safety gear, and benefits beginning after 30 days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong background in maintenance repair and preventive maintenance programs.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Basic computer and parts inventory system skills.
• Aptitude for investigating and problem-solving mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine lubrication, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical warehouse equipment.
• Assist with and monitor work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
• Schedule and complete preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ensure safety standards comply with company and local, city, state, and federal guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain grounds and building systems.
• Depending on location, operate equipment and obtain equipment certification if required.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as determined.
