About The Position

The Production Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains assets in the production facility. The role identifies, troubleshoots, and repairs problems with production equipment and processes. The position also supports equipment changeovers, production line setups, preventive maintenance, equipment installation and overhauls, and parts inventory management.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED) or equivalent degree/certificate required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must become forklift certified within one month of hire.
• Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs on production equipment between shifts and line changes to prevent variations in product quality.
• Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance regularly, as assigned by the business, to prolong equipment life.
• Perform equipment changeovers and production line setups before production changes.
• Overhaul and install new equipment on machines as directed by the business.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts and manage parts inventory to maintain adequate stock.
• Attend meetings as assigned and assist with special projects and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
