About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Logistics associate for the First Shift. This role is crucial in supporting the team by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas. The associate will coordinate with the receiving team to maintain organization in the freight room and drop zone, plan for large seasonal shipments, and assist customers and salespeople with retrieving and loading purchased products. Maintaining an orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including off-site warehouses, is also a key responsibility. The role requires knowledge of equipment and tools, assisting with snow and debris removal, and updating warehouse inventory. Additionally, the associate will be expected to fill in for absences in the area, which may include making deliveries, assisting with product builds/set-ups, or filling in for Merchandisers.

Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly.
Ability to work with a team.
Minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Very heavy work – Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Responsibilities

Assist associates by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
Organize, communicate, and coordinate scheduling effectively with all levels within the organization before transporting freight/fixtures to the various departments/off-site warehouse.
Coordinate with the receiving team to maintain a high level of organization in the freight room and drop zone.
Plan for a large seasonal shipment in addition to maintaining the flow of freight all year.
Assist customers and salespeople with retrieving and loading purchased products.
Maintain orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including off-site warehouses.
Be knowledgeable of all equipment and tools, and how to use them properly.
Assist in the removal of snow and debris from walkways, rooftops, and landscaping around the building.
Update warehouse inventory.
Able to fill in or help out to cover absences in the area (including but not limited to: going on deliveries, helping with product builds / set-ups, filling in for Merchandisers as needed, etc.).
Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
