About The Position

The Warehouse Loader is responsible for ensuring trailers are inspected and prepared for loading, moving products efficiently, and accurately loading trailers according to a loading plan. This role involves operating forklifts and pallet jacks, securing loads, and performing quality checks. The position also requires documentation of audit results, communication with team members, and handling store complaints. Additional tasks may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, stock pickers).
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Skilled in counting and moving goods.
  • Proven auditing experience and math skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Professionalism and organization.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA Forklift Certification strongly preferred.
  • Preferably loading/unloading experience.
  • Experience working in a grocery warehouse.
  • Bilingual-Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect empty trailers at the loading dock to ensure they are clean and clear before loading and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Move outgoing products from the staging area to the loading dock with a forklift.
  • Wrap pallets with cellophane, secure loads/pallets, and ensure shipping labels are in place as needed.
  • Transport items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand in the correct stop sequence, according to a predetermined loading plan.
  • Locate the proper slot on the trailer for the order, set it in place, and secure the load when complete.
  • Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with a pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
  • Assist Order Selectors and perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
  • Document audit results, including daily data entry, and discuss audit results with the leadership team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and peers in various functions.
  • Utilize quality checking methods to confirm the quality of goods supplied to the stores.
  • Handle store complaints and adjust credits to stores.
  • Use inventory management software and office systems.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
