Warehouse Loader/Unloader (Night Shift)
About The Position
Freight Breakers is hiring dependable Material Handlers for a hands-on, production-based warehouse position in Romeoville. Employees work as part of a team unloading freight from trailers, stacking boxes onto wooden pallets, building stable and organized pallets, and moving completed pallets to a staging area with a pallet jack. The work involves a variety of loading and unloading assignments, and employees repeat the process with new pallets. Earnings are production-based while assigned to a truck; employees remain on the clock and are paid hourly when they are working but are not actively assigned to a truck. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 3:30 AM, until mid-November, with alternate schedules listed as Sunday through Tuesday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, or Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Employees may be released early depending on workload, production goals, and completion of assigned work.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable transportation.
- Steel-toe shoes are required.
- Able to lift and carry 50–100 pounds.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to meet production standards after training.
- Willing to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities
- Unload freight from trailers and stack boxes onto wooden pallets.
- Build stable, organized pallets.
- Use a pallet jack to move completed pallets to designated staging areas and bring back new pallets.
- Work on a variety of loading and unloading assignments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety, receiving, shipping, attendance, and call-off procedures.
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Meet or exceed production expectations after training.
