About The Position
The Loader/Unloader I moves glass and/or metal between locations and prepares delivery trucks for customer deliveries. Work includes loading and unloading products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, and wood crates. This role is part of the Shipping Department and reports to the Production Supervisor. It suits someone with attention to safety, quality, and efficiency, a strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, and wood crates.
- Prepare orders for delivery by organizing and securing glass for transport.
- Perform work as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Ensure complete orders are loaded for customers and properly scanned.
- Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and use a tape measure effectively.
