This role involves helping to coordinate people and equipment to keep warehouse operations running efficiently. The Warehouse Lead will lead and support warehouse team members, providing training and guidance as needed. They will ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards, while also keeping inventory accurate and assisting with physical counts. The lead will monitor team performance, look for ways to improve productivity and workflow, and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse environment. Operating forklifts and ensuring proper certification is maintained, along with using JDE 9.1 and other systems for data entry and tracking, are key responsibilities. The role also involves helping to ensure compliance with safety and food regulations (FSMA, HACCP & HARPC, GMP, sanitation). No two days are exactly the same, and the lead will attend training to continue building leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Experience in warehouse operations and a strong understanding of how things work.
  • Forklift experience and certification (required).
  • Familiarity with JDE 9.1 or similar systems.
  • A natural ability to lead, train, and support others.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Comfort with standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs throughout the day.
  • Ability to work extended hours and overtime as needed (up to 60 hours/week).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
  • Applicants must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at a level necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
