About The Position

Article is an online furniture company known for its home delivery experience. As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for unloading containers of boxed furniture, organizing the warehouse, and staging outgoing orders for home delivery trucks. This role also involves leadership, coaching, and supporting the warehouse team, embodying Article's values and principles in decision-making and actions. You will also be involved in picking and packing furniture, loading and unloading trucks, moving stock, maintaining housekeeping, and processing returned items.

Requirements

Legally able to work in Canada
Completion of a criminal background check
Reliable method of transportation
Able to routinely lift 50 lbs. of merchandise by yourself.
Able to handle heavy items (100-300+ lbs.) with team members and/or proper lifting equipment.
Work on your feet throughout the shift
Strong communication skills in English
Previous experience as a lead (or above) in a warehouse setting
Proven ability to coordinate and direct warehouse operations
Team-first attitude with a strong sense of accountability
Reliable, resourceful, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable following instructions and jumping in to help wherever needed
Organized and able to manage your time effectively
High level of ownership and ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills—you’re someone people like working with
Proficient with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with warehouse practices like cycle counting, container loading/unloading, replenishment, and workforce scheduling

Responsibilities

Leading, coaching, and supporting the warehouse team
Maintain and report on multiple key performance indicators related to safety and productivity
Embodying and demonstrating Article’s values and principles in all decision-making and actions
Picking and packing furniture
Loading and unloading trucks for deliveries
Moving stock around the warehouse
Maintaining good housekeeping in work areas
Processes returned items, cleaning or otherwise preparing them to be returned to stock
