About The Position

Acme Tools is seeking a Warehouse Lead to join their team for the evening shift. This role involves supporting all sales distribution points through various warehousing tasks. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who can motivate a team while working alongside them, enjoys a busy work environment, and prefers having mornings and weekends off. Requirements

  • Ability to work the 2nd shift (1:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday).
  • 2+ years of warehouse operations experience.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Strong computer skills & ability to learn new software.
  • Willingness and ability to work on powered equipment (forklift, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Perform various warehousing tasks to support all sales distribution points.
  • Assist with training new Warehouse Associates, including conducting process observations, root cause analysis for quality defects, and providing feedback and coaching.
  • Unload freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against packing slips, inspect for damage, and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Scan or enter product into the inventory control system or related computer program.
  • Maintain consistent and adequate stock of product on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Use manual or motorized equipment to transport inventory between the warehouse and store locations.
  • Lead scheduled inventory events, such as physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations.
  • Accurately pick items for customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions, prepare shipments, and load product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles.
  • Occasionally drive a company vehicle to transport items from the warehouse to customers or to pick up items from various locations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety.
  • Assist with property maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and improving safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity.
  • Complete related tasks as assigned.
