About The Position

The Warehouse Lead ensures the nightly duties are completed by the team day-to-day. This role involves distributing newspapers and materials to independent contractors. The Warehouse Lead reports directly to the Circulation Director. Responsibilities include ensuring quality control of newspaper bundles, verification and disposal of single copy returns, maintaining dock area cleanliness, and communicating with management regarding route issues. The role may also require occasionally delivering newspapers. A valid driving license, a safe driving record, and a reliable vehicle are necessary. The position requires on-site, regular, and reliable attendance, and the ability to work nights and weekends. Requirements

Safely drive to and from locations.
Hold a valid driving license.

Operate in a thorough professional manner including communication, attendance, punctuality and dress.

Responsibilities

Ensure quality control of newspaper bundles being distributed to contractors.
Verification and disposal of single copy returns.
Maintain cleanliness of dock area.
Communicate with Home Delivery Manager and District Sales Managers in the event of a route not picked up by contractor.
Occasionally deliver newspapers as required.
Ensure nightly duties are completed by the team day-to-day.
