About The Position

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Lead for our Markham, ON location. This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring audiovisual (AV) equipment is accurately received, organized, maintained, and prepared for upcoming installations and service projects.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, shipping & receiving experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of AV technology is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently, with minimal supervision in a busy environment.
  • Proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems, including Microsoft 365.
  • Willingness to learn and follow warehouse procedures in a project-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a safe manner while following safe job procedures and precautions.
  • Must be able to lift and move products and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Basic first aid knowledge (training can be provided, if needed).
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners (training can be provided, if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming shipments, inspect goods, and organize products by project.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles as needed.
  • Prepare orders for shipment and ensure all products are picked and packed accurately.
  • Organize pallets by specific client jobs and maintain order accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Prepare inventory for upcoming projects and jobs (picking).
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with moving and staging products as necessary.
  • Assist with maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization, including managing staging areas and miscellaneous storage, recycling, reusing packing materials, and keeping aisles and exits clear.
  • Follow safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to safety protocols and perform basic first aid when necessary.
  • Use laptops and Microsoft 365 for email communication and basic documentation, as well as handling phone calls.
  • Adhere to manual inventory procedures and maintain shipment records.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure accurate processing and prevent the loss of paperwork.
