About The Position

The Warehouse Lead provides direction and support to the Warehouse team. Drives compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, such as Safety, Quality, GMP, and CPS. This role champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior. The lead monitors the environment for conditions that may affect employee safety and security, taking corrective action as needed. They communicate to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies. Additionally, the Warehouse Lead prepares training plans and conducts or assigns training on safety, maintenance, machine operation, and quality assurance to new employees. They prepare documentation and provide performance feedback to introductory employees, and also provide feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior. The lead ensures employees have the required tools, supplies, and area to perform their duties. They record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability, and determine the method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment. Other duties may be assigned by plant management. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

  • One plus years’ experience in Warehouse/Shipping role.
  • One plus years’ experience in distribution or manufacturing.
  • High School diploma.

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent.
