About The Position

The Warehouse Lead will supply our valued customers with the necessary items they need to grow their business every day. The responsibility of this role is to direct the day-today warehouse activities including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Nice To Haves

Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Completion of PEAK I & II if applicable.
Experience operating forklifts or other materials handling equipment
Experience in operating large vehicles in tight and congested areas

Responsibilities

Direct and perform a variety of warehousing duties such as loading, checking, order picking, and shipping.
Monitor and verify the accuracy of outbound shipments.
Ensure that all customer orders and branch transfers are filled, packaged, loaded and delivered correctly and on time.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
Monitor equipment maintenance and housekeeping. Lead the team concerning best practices, and proper procedures and ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Assist and direct efficiency inventory management and cycle counts.
Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
Assist in the training and development of Warehouse associates. May monitor attendance, hours worked and job performance.
Be courteous in all contact with company customers.
