The Warehouse Lead is a Subject Matter Expert in the area's processes and technology applications and hardware. This role requires a high familiarity with certain clients or projects. The Lead is a model example of CWW values and standards, fostering a positive work climate and encouraging teamwork. They will direct the work of other team members as instructed by the team supervisor, and engage in problem-solving and decision-making within the bounds of direction given by the team supervisor. The Lead will advise and train employees on the care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, and ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion. They will perform inventory counts as directed and make adjustments when needed and authorized, monitor compliance of safety and security procedures, and delegate warehouse housekeeping duties, ensuring they are performed daily. The Lead must maintain compliance in all areas pertaining to Federal and State regulatory agencies. They will fill client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs, operate a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment, and load and unload materials. Attaching identifying tags or labels to materials, scanning freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment, and completing required paperwork thoroughly and promptly are also key responsibilities. Housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment and accurately and courteously loading client merchandise are also part of the role. This job requires presence on-site at the assigned work location. Other duties as assigned.
