About The Position

The Warehouse Lead - Third Shift is a Subject Matter Expert in the area's processes and technology applications and hardware, with a high familiarity with certain clients or projects. This role models CWW values and standards, fosters a positive work climate, and encourages teamwork. The Lead directs the work of other team members as instructed by the team supervisor, and engages in problem-solving and decision-making within those bounds. They advise and train employees on the care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, and ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion. The role also performs inventory counts, monitors compliance with safety and security procedures, delegates and ensures warehouse housekeeping duties are performed daily, and maintains compliance with Federal and State regulatory agencies. The Lead fills client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs, operates a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment, and loads/unloads materials. They attach identifying tags or labels, scan freight using the warehouse management system with RF equipment, and complete required paperwork thoroughly and promptly. Housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment are also a responsibility, as is accurately and courteously loading client merchandise. This job requires presence on-site at the assigned work location and includes other duties as assigned.

  • Forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Perform inventory counts as directed and make adjustments when needed and authorized.
  • Monitor compliance of safety and security procedures.
  • Delegate warehouse housekeeping duties and ensure they are performed daily.
  • Maintain compliance in all areas pertaining to Federal and State regulatory agencies.
  • Fills client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs.
  • Operates a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including but not limited to high reach vehicle or similar.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves or into vehicles by hand forklift, or other warehouse equipment.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials.
  • Scans freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment.
  • Completes required paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
  • Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Accurately and courteously load client merchandise.
