About The Position

The Warehouse Lead provides support to the Sr. Manager of Warehouse by overseeing the receiving, storage and distribution of food inventory in addition to quality control to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities simultaneously
  • Must be customer-centric, able to work collaboratively with a team and cross-functionally
  • Self-directed, able to establish priorities, and problem solve
  • Intermediate level of operational knowledge with Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Outlook, Excel, and AGI
  • 2 years in warehouse distribution or operations, preferably in a team lead role
  • Experience operating an electric pallet jack and reach forklift

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and manufacturing or food product warehousing processes a plus
  • Working knowledge of CERES & Navision a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support order fulfillment and distribution process to include stock replenishment, order selection, packing and staging
  • Oversee receiving functions to ensure unloading efficiency and accuracy and that all product is properly received and put away daily
  • Supports outbound truck loading per specified routes and delivery schedules as assigned
  • Provide daily leadership and assign tasks to the team
  • Supervises cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of facility following appropriate NTFB food safety and personnel safety policies and practices
  • Provide inventory support functions as identified by management
  • Occasionally performs receiving functions as part of a warehouse team to ensure unloading efficiency, accuracy and that all product is received properly and stored
  • Provide support to agency pickup activity as necessary
  • Ensure checklist is completed daily, before use of material handling equipment
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for visitors, volunteers and customer traffic; secure facilities at close of day
  • Complete any necessary equipment trainings as mandated
  • Perform management duties in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
  • Assist management with hiring processes and new team member training
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
