About The Position

This role serves as a Subject Matter Expert in warehouse processes and technology applications, with a high familiarity with specific clients or projects. The Warehouse Lead embodies CWW values and standards, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork. They will direct the work of other team members under the guidance of a team supervisor, engaging in problem-solving and decision-making within defined boundaries. This position involves advising and training employees on the care and preservation of items, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, performing inventory counts and adjustments, monitoring safety and security compliance, delegating housekeeping duties, and maintaining compliance with all Federal and State regulatory agencies. The role also includes filling client orders safely and efficiently according to Crane SOPs, operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, loading and unloading materials, attaching identifying tags, scanning freight using a warehouse management system with RF equipment, completing required paperwork, and performing housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment. Accurate and courteous loading of client merchandise is also a key responsibility. This job requires on-site presence at the assigned work location, and other duties may be assigned.

  • Forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in warehouse processes and technology applications.
  • Direct work of other team members as instructed by the team supervisor.
  • Problem solve and make decisions within the bounds of direction given by the team supervisor.
  • Advise/train employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Perform inventory counts as directed and make adjustments when needed and authorized.
  • Monitor compliance of safety and security procedures.
  • Delegate warehouse housekeeping duties and ensure they are performed daily.
  • Maintain compliance in all areas pertaining to Federal and State regulatory agencies.
  • Fill client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs.
  • Operate a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including but not limited to high reach vehicle or similar.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves or into vehicles by hand, forklift, or other warehouse equipment.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials.
  • Scan freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Accurately and courteously load client merchandise.
