About The Position

The Warehouse Lead is a Subject Matter Expert in the area's processes and technology applications and hardware, with a high familiarity with certain clients or projects. This role models CWW values and standards, fosters a positive work climate, and encourages teamwork. The Lead directs the work of other team members and engages in problem-solving and decision-making within the bounds of direction given by the team supervisor. They advise and train employees on the care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, and ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion. The Lead also performs inventory counts, monitors compliance with safety and security procedures, delegates and ensures daily housekeeping duties are performed, and maintains compliance with Federal and State regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include safely and efficiently filling client orders within Crane SOPs, operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, and loading/unloading materials. The role involves attaching identifying tags, scanning freight using a warehouse management system with RF equipment, completing required paperwork, performing housekeeping tasks, and accurately loading client merchandise. The position requires on-site presence at the assigned work location and may include other duties as assigned.

  • Forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
  • Job requires presence on-site at the assigned work location.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in problem-solving and decision-making within the bounds of direction given by the team supervisor.
  • Advise and train employees on the care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, checked, and packed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Perform inventory counts as directed and make adjustments when needed and authorized.
  • Monitor compliance of safety and security procedures.
  • Delegate warehouse housekeeping duties and ensure they are performed daily.
  • Maintain compliance in all areas pertaining to Federal and State regulatory agencies.
  • Fill client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs.
  • Operate a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including but not limited to high reach vehicle or similar.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves or into vehicles by hand, forklift, or other warehouse equipment.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials.
  • Scan freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Accurately and courteously load client merchandise.
