About The Position

This role assists the Warehouse Manager in directing Warehouse Associates to ensure adherence to warehouse plans, procedures, safety practices, and overall warehouse operations. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading their shift in daily meetings, Gemba walks, and plant support. They will collaborate with the production shift supervisor to ensure seamless operation and effective communication between warehouse and production staff. Key duties include shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, verifying load/unload accuracy against paperwork, and providing correct documentation to customer service. The role requires operating a forklift and bulk truck loader, sorting and storing materials in designated inventory locations, and ensuring the warehouse is accessible and safe for all traffic. Additionally, the position involves marking materials, opening containers, recording material transfers using computer programs, assisting with physical inventory counts, and performing general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of processing areas.

Requirements

Experience operating a forklift.
Experience operating a bulk truck loader.
Proficiency in using computer programs for recording material transfers.
Ability to perform general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for coordinating with other departments.

Responsibilities

Assist Warehouse Manager in directing Warehouse Associates to ensure warehouse plans, procedures, safety practices, and warehouse practices are being followed.
Lead responsible shift in daily meetings, Gemba walks, and plant support.
Work with production shift supervisor to ensure smooth operation and communication between warehouse and production staff.
Shipping and receiving unloading trucks, matching paperwork by confirming accuracy of load/unload, and providing the correct paperwork to customer service.
Operate forklift and bulk truck loader.
Sort and place materials in the proper inventory location as directed.
Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Open bales, crates and other containers.
Record transfer materials via appropriate computer program.
Assist in counting of physical inventory.
Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of processing areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments.
