About The Position

To assist the DC Operations Manager in day-to-day duties and ensure all daily job functions are completed. This role is crucial in ensuring that all inbound and outbound product is accurately pulled, packaged, loaded, and shipped. The Warehouse Lead will also assist the Operations Manager in various operational tasks and may perform supervisor duties during periods of absence.

Requirements

  • Ability to pick up and place on a pallet 560 pieces (or cartons) over an eight-hour period weighing on average 40-50 lbs.
  • Fall protection device weight limitation is 310 lbs.
  • Ability to pick up pieces (or cartons) from heights ranging from sitting on the ground to shoulder height.
  • Ability to twist or contort body from side to side.
  • Attendance/Punctuality: Consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
  • Reaching for box from the ground, raising to waist height, 50lbs, at a minimum rate of 70 times an hour.
  • Reaching for box from shoulder height, lowering to waist height, 50lbs, at a minimum of 70 times an hour.
  • Truncated movement from left to right picking up box and lowering again, 50lbs, at a minimum of 70 times an hour.
  • Truncated movement from right to left picking up box and lowering again, 50lbs, at a minimum of 70 times an hour.

Nice To Haves

  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the DC Operations Manager in daily duties and ensure job functions are completed.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in pulling, packaging, loading, and shipping of inbound and outbound product.
  • Print Load Reports and assign tasks to warehouse personnel.
  • Process and ensure completeness of driver's paperwork, filing it daily.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in locating misplaced product.
  • Assign pick locations as needed.
  • Double-check all orders.
  • Coordinate outbound and inbound freight, including taking appointments, calling carriers, and ensuring timely shipments.
  • Communicate with office sales personnel regarding shipping issues, problems, light trucks, and orders that cannot ship.
  • Coordinate container delivery and the inbound/outbound process.
  • Assist in pulling, receiving, and stocking orders when needed.
  • Assist in warehouse re-organization and aisle management.
  • Identify more efficient ways to perform daily functions.
  • Coordinate with the pack house to ensure items needed for a 100% ship rate are covered.
  • Maintain DOT maintenance on trucks and trailers, coordinating with drivers and vendors on issues.
  • Maintain Drivers Med Cards & Licenses.
  • Perform Cycle counts as instructed.
  • Print Delivery tickets / Driver Trip Sheets.
  • Assist in obtaining quotes for basic warehouse expenses and special needs.
  • Cover for the Operations Manager during absences.
  • Coordinate will call orders in a safe and service-friendly manner.
  • Maintain and care for company-owned or leased equipment.
  • Ensure high standards of warehouse cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform most of the Operations Manager or Supervisor duties during periods of absence.
