About The Position

The Warehouse Lead Associate supports the Warehouse Supervisor by managing either inbound or outbound warehouse floor operations and facilitating effective warehouse operations through staff direction, in accordance with operational priorities. This role involves assisting with the coordination of shipment receipts and scheduling incoming trucks, as well as making internal appointments. The Lead Associate is also responsible for delegating work among warehouse staff, producing reports on workforce productivity and quality, and communicating with external customers to provide updates on delivery timeframes and ensure satisfaction. Warehouse Operations encompasses materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, and planning. It involves performing manual or automated tasks for product receipt, storage, and shipment, ensuring the efficient flow of products from vendors to various internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to bend, reach, lift and stand for entire shift
  • Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly

Responsibilities

  • Support the Warehouse Supervisor through either inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor.
  • Facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff.
  • Assist in coordination of receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks.
  • Make internal appointments.
  • Delegate work among the warehouse staff.
  • Produce reports on workforce productivity and quality.
  • Communicate with customers outside the warehouse to communicate disruptions, provide updates on delivery timeframes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Unload trucks into the Inbound section by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices.
  • Use Warehouse Management System to check in products.
  • Follow regulations to store refrigerated specialty products.
  • Store products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.
  • Pick products from warehouse locations and load into outbound trucks.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to assess inventory levels, submit orders, and audit warehouse operations to facilitate successful operational activities within the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors to align on warehouse and inventory priorities, in alignment with operational objectives.
