1st Shift Warehouse Lead Order Picker
About The Position
The Warehouse Lead Order Picker supports daily warehouse operations and helps ensure productivity goals are met while maintaining a safe, organized work environment. In this hands-on leadership role, the lead works closely with the Area Manager to prioritize work, coach team members, and advance continuous improvement. The position emphasizes leading by example, developing others, and promoting a positive team culture. The role is based in Belton, Missouri. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay is $22.50 per hour. The position is full-time with benefits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and spreadsheet experience.
- PIT operating experience with a cherry picker, reach truck, and sit-down forklift.
- High energy and self-motivation.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor others.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Comfort working with numbers and performing basic calculations.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of warehouse or distribution experience.
- Experience leading or training employees.
- Experience with inventory control, scheduling, or warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Assign and monitor daily work activities according to operational priorities.
