Responsible for receiving, shipping, and storage of product in the warehouse. In addition to current responsibilities of warehouse associate, a team leader works to ensure efficiency and quality within a department and/or shift. This role involves organizing and scheduling activities for order pick processing, receiving of product, and system interactions. The Lead will review shipments, investigate variances, conduct inventories, and process daily warehouse transactions through an ERP/WMS system. Key responsibilities include overseeing product quality for shipments, reading work orders, identifying and selecting items for shipment using RF scanners, stacking/loading pallets, moving items between locations, staging pallets, loading/unloading, stretch-wrapping product, marking packages, meeting productivity and accuracy standards, performing housekeeping duties, and conducting daily equipment inspections. The Lead must also advise supervisors of any unsafe conditions. Lead responsibilities specifically include analyzing daily schedules to adjust staffing, reviewing delivery routes for accuracy and efficiency, supporting supervisors in team development (training, assessment, coaching), assessing and monitoring team members for accountability, assisting with employee reviews and disciplinary actions, communicating and training team members on procedures, and alerting management to non-compliance. The Lead will be cross-trained on all warehouse tasks and certified on all equipment, may share special industry techniques, and instruct teams on safety equipment and emergency procedures. They will directly support management with knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice, ensuring efficiency and quality within their department/shift, and performing any other warehouse operations functions as needed.
