About The Position

Southern Industries Home Improvement is seeking a Warehouse Laborer to join their team. This is a full-time position responsible for various warehouse duties including unloading deliveries, organizing and stocking materials, preparing job orders for installers, loading installer vehicles, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The role also involves assisting the warehouse manager and production manager, communicating production concerns, and potentially delivering materials or running errands. Southern Industries is a family-owned company with over 57 years of experience and is a premier home remodeling company in the Southeast, offering exclusive products and specializing in various home improvement services.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass a background check
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Works well alone
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Punctual, organized, flexible, levelheaded
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to lift and/or push and/or pull up to 100 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to measure for our products OR can learn
  • Timely communications with all departments of any production concerns
  • Computer experience, online purchasing, creating purchase orders in Salesforce is a plus
  • Forklift experience OR the ability to learn

Responsibilities

  • Unload deliveries into the warehouse
  • Compile materials on job orders for easy loading into installer vehicles
  • Help load installer vehicles
  • Keep the warehouse organized
  • Keep the warehouse clean
  • Assist the warehouse manager
  • Assist the Production Manager
  • Deliver material to job sites and run various errands
  • Stock products into warehouse and maintain inventory
  • Stage jobs by pulling all needed products from warehouse for installers to pick up
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety instructions
  • Other duties as assigned
