About The Position

The Warehouse Journeyman is responsible for receiving, identifying, marking, processing, and issuing materials. This role involves maintaining various records, files, and reports, as well as ordering supplies as needed. The position also includes performing inventory controls to maintain high-quality standards for audits. The Journeyman will operate a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles, utilize hand tools, and possess good organizational and time management skills. The role requires maintaining positive working relationships, producing high-quality work safely and productively, and providing feedback to ensure material and equipment availability. Continuous improvement, learning safety hazards, and effective math skills are essential. The employee must learn to safely operate work-related tools and equipment, eliminate waste, and ask supervisors for clarification on any aspect of the work or safety practices.

Requirements

  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry is preferred.
  • NCCER Core Curriculum and /or a High School diploma or equivalent is also preferred.

  • If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices, ask a supervisor before continuing.
  • Receive, identify, mark, process and issue material.
  • Maintain a variety of records, files and reports.
  • Maintain records of materials and order supplies as necessary.
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment and vehicles.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools as required.
