About The Position

This role involves maintaining yard trucks through daily maintenance and safety checks, reporting any issues, performing yard checks, and maintaining trailer inventory. The Warehouse Jockey will shuttle trailers with product and/or roll-stock to the warehouse, properly sign and document all paperwork, and perform trailer movements as directed. Additionally, they will report maintenance and safety issues concerning trailers, deliver trailers to customers when needed, check wheels on all trailers put into docks, and operate in a safe manner.

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed the appropriate training programs for the operation of powered industrial trucks
• Must possess a CDL
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain yard truck by doing daily maintenance and safety checks
• Report any issues with yard truck
• Perform yard checks and maintain trailer inventory
• Shuttle trailers with product and/or roll-stock to warehouse
• Properly sign and document all paperwork
• Perform trailer movements as directed
• Report maintenance and safety issues concerning trailers
• Deliver trailers to customers when needed
• Check wheels on all trailers put into docks
• Operate in a safe manner
