About The Position

Position Summary: The Janitor U750 is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of Breakthru Maryland’s warehouse and office buildings. Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm Pay: $19.57/hour

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent
• No prior experience required
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience maintaining cleanliness and order for a large business
• Knowledge of chemicals and supplies
• Ability to handle heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse and office space.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums the floors
• Empties trash and garbage containers.
• Sanitizes and disinfects
• Ensure bathrooms are clean and filled with paper products and soap
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to plumbing, lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Collects excess cardboard and uses bailer to bundle and prepare for recycling
• Assists in moving furniture, file cabinets, etc. when necessary.
• Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
