About The Position

RJW Logistics Group is seeking a Warehouse Janitor to maintain the general upkeep of the office building, ensuring it is clean and in orderly condition. This role involves performing heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The position may also include notifying management of the need for repairs and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalks. Duties can encompass vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and performing small repair work.

Requirements

Basic Knowledge of repair techniques, or job training along side and experienced custodian.
Sanitation for Food Facility
Finishing/Refinishing Floors
Forklift Driver
High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months experience
Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and speak English.
Ability to read, analyzes, and write.
Ability to effectively follow orders and respond to questions from management.

Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Spray insecticides and fumiguns to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
Other duties as required by supervisor.
