About The Position

We are seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist – Material Control & Logistics Operations to support inventory management, material handling, warehouse operations, and logistics activities in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, material storage, shipping and receiving, production support, forklift operation, and material control processes while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, inventory, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 4 years of warehouse, inventory control, material handling, or logistics experience.
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy, material accountability, and warehouse records.
  • Computer proficiency and experience using inventory management or warehouse systems.
  • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 pounds; team lifts may be required for loads exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform duties in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye, face, hearing, hand, and arm protection.
  • Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception testing requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to safely handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required training certifications.
  • Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, balancing, reaching overhead, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and other physical movements required for warehouse operations.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.
  • Ability to work any assigned shift.
  • Frequent standing and walking on flat and uneven surfaces.
  • Frequent work around warehouse equipment, inventory storage areas, and production environments.
  • Exposure to noise, elevated work platforms, ladders, and industrial work conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, route, and maintain materials in designated storage locations following established inventory control and storage procedures.
  • Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and inspections to verify material accuracy, condition, and accountability.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, deteriorated, or non-conforming materials.
  • Pick, issue, package, and prepare materials, parts, and hardware for shipment or internal distribution.
  • Review production schedules and material requirements to ensure adequate inventory availability for manufacturing and operational needs.
  • Analyze material demand, inventory levels, schedules, and configuration control requirements to support production objectives.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and scheduling conflicts and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required to support operational requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements, tool control procedures, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, inventory control standards, housekeeping requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Support warehouse, logistics, and material management activities across multiple shifts and operational environments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of company and program objectives.
