The Service Tools Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring TRUMPF field service operations run smoothly by managing all aspects of service tool logistics. This position is responsible for coordinating the preparation, maintenance, shipment, and return of specialized tool kits used by field service engineers across North America for the installation, maintenance, and repair of TRUMPF machinery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two-year degree from technical college or equivalent work experience in material handling or warehouse operations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in material handling, inventory management, or storage area operations

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of SIS and SAP systems
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience with tool calibration or quality assurance processes
  • Familiarity with logistics and shipping coordination
  • Experience supporting multi-location or international operations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and continuously improve comprehensive tool kits for field service engineers, ensuring all tools meet TRUMPF quality and safety standards
  • Utilize SIS/SAP systems to coordinate shipment and return of tool kits via UPS, Pilot, or common carrier; track inventory movement and optimize delivery schedules
  • Perform issue/receipt transactions in SAP for all tools entering and leaving stock; maintain accurate records and system documentation
  • Assemble and customize personal toolboxes for individual field service engineers according to specific job requirements
  • Support the calibration process for all tools requiring certification in accordance with TRUMPF standards; verify compliance and maintain calibration records
  • Keep Installation Coordinators and Schedulers informed of real-time tool kit availability to support operational planning
  • Follow up on missing, lost, or damaged tools; investigate discrepancies with customers and field service engineers; implement corrective actions
  • Support TRUMPF affiliates in Mexico and Canada with tool shipment coordination and stocking requirements
  • Maintain organized, efficient work and storage areas for tools and equipment; implement best practices for inventory organization
  • Cooperate with other departments on project initiatives such as SAP system implementations and process improvements
  • Support the Service Tool Supervisor with administrative functions, special projects, and shop floor tasks as assigned
